Has anyone ever stayed at SPA Hostel Khaosan?? Is it decent? Or any other nice hostels in Beppu?

I'm doing a bit of research on japan myself (am going in november and trying to save costs) and have found a place in Beppu called "Happy Neko". They have private japanese rooms 2500 single use, 2250 double. they also offer a couple of free local tours for patrons. just google 'happy neko' and you should find it. good luck!

Just stayed there a few weeks back. Really cheap (somewhere in the 2000s) and nice and clean. The staff is really helpful and knowledgeable about the town, spas, restaurants. I'd definitely recommend it--book from their website (link below): http://www.khaosan-beppu.com/booking.php
