Kamakura 2009/4/19 12:26
Kamakura is great to visit. It is close to Tokyo, only an hour by train. It is popular, well-known, and easy to get to. The most popular sites will be a bit crowded, but there are MANY other old temples and shrines and forests and hiking trails you can visit if you get a decent guidebook. And there is a tourist info center right at the front gates of Kamakura Station.

where you can go? 2009/4/19 19:39
niky,

You should tell us what you wanna do or what you are interested in.

I'd recommend some observation decks or museums, if not food or shopping.

Tokyo at night 2009/4/19 23:13
The funnest thing to do in Tokyo at night is having excellent(& expensive) dinner or going for a club/bar. So I have no good recommendation for you.

The observatories are still open at night.

Karamura? Do you mean Kamakura? You wouldn't arrive there until about half past 6 as it is well outside Tokyo, and there the temples and shrines will be closed too. Probably better to stick to the observatories and craft shops for this trip and save historic places for anohter trip when you have more time and can visit them during the day.
