Things to do at Hakataeki-Minami?

Hi everyone :). I'm thinking of staying at a hotel in Hakataeki-Minami. Its address is 2-10-23, Hakataeki-minami Hakata-ku in Fukuoka City. I'd want to know is there anything good to eat and shop there near and around Hakataeki-Minami? Many thanks!

The south side of Hakata Station is not particularly exciting. But it is only a short walk or subway ride into the more interesting districts of Fukuoka.
