Can someone recommend directions how to get from KIX to the Monterey hotel Kyoto?

I will give you the easiest in terms of changing trains and not having to walk around looking for things.
Take the JR train to Kyoto. Then the Kyoto City Karasuma Line to Karasumaoike subway station. Leave the station by exit 5 or 6 if you are near to it.

You can see the 5 or 6 for the station exits..

Make sure you enter Kansai Airport not KIX

KIX is the abbreviation for Kansai airport, like LA airport is LAX and Narita is NRT.
