Hi, I am planning to drive from Osaka, Nagoya to Tateyama.
1. Is Shirakawa-go accessible by car or only public transport is allowed ?
2. Thereafter plan to go to to Alphine Route. Understand this place is accessible via ropeway, bus and etc, is it advisable to return the car at Tateyama and move around Shirakawa-go ?

It is easily accessible by car.

I don't think there is any rental car outlet at Tateyama Station. But there are many around Toyama Station, where you could drop off your car.
