Hello,
I reserved a limited express ticket today for the thunderbird heading to kyoto from a machine at the station. However, it only charged me the charge fee and not the fare fee. I assume I pay the fare fee on the day, but where do I pay it? Do I pay it on the thunderbird itself or at the station i will be leaving from? Any help would be great.

You need to buy the base fare ticket in advance, as well. You can do so at a vending machine or ticket counter.
