Where should I go when there is a public holiday?
My current plan is going to Kyoto or Osaka,are the tourist places going to be open?
e.g. Shrines, temples, dotonbori, umeda.

Everything tends to be open on public holidays, especially tourist attractions and shops. Temples and shrines do not have closing days.
