I will be studying abroad in Tokyo this summer. I am allergic to multiple common drugs. I wear a medical bracelet. Does anyone know where I can get one in Japanese (or if they are even common in Japan)?
Thanks in advance for any assistance provided.

Terribeth, in googling "drug, allergy, bracelet" in Japanese, medical bracelets are not so widely known in Japan though Japanese medical staff seems to know the "existence" of medical ID.
This is what a poster (seemingly ER nurse) answered in one forum. "..., so We could know that he (an unconscious patient) has an allergy because he put an alert/information in the "profile" section of his cellphone."
Apparently, when an unconscious patient is brought to a hospital, medical staff will check his/her cell phone to get his/her ID & contact number.
I also think it is a good idea to make a small card with medical alert and keep it in your purse.
Hope that you'll have a wonderful time here in Japan!
