I have 3-4 days in Tokyo only. Can anyone suggest the most economical way to cruise around the city? Is it worth having a JR pass. Many Thanks!!!

The best way to get around the city is by Suica prepaid card: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2359_002.htmlA Japan Rail Pass is not going to pay off for urban transportation in Tokyo! A 7-day pass costs 28,300 yen, which translates into over 4000 yen per day. The average tourist spends only about 100-500 yen per day on JR transprtation in central Tokyo.

JR Rail pass is only good if you are travelling to several cities that are far away, for example from Tokyo to Kyoto/Osaka/Hiroshima. If you only plan to be around Tokyo/Yokohama area, then just buy single tickets. Within 4 days your travelling for one person most likely wont exceed 3000 yen.
