Any Japanese language schools in Iwakuni 2009/6/11 00:52
Im very new to the area and will be spending a year in Iwakuni for work. Are there any Japanese language schools or tutors here in Iwakuni or the surounding areas?

i spent some good times there...

anyway, iwakuni it's small and with fewer gaijin population than other places. i don't know of any real japanese language school, but i found this place where a volunteer teaches japanese to some students. i don't know how good it is, though.

For Yamaguchi prefecture, according to Nisshinkyo's (Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language Education) website, there are only two accredited schools, one in Shunan city and the other in Shimonseki city.

Click "ENGLISH" on the upper left corner, click "Finding with zone/local area" under "Information about Japanese Language school."
Maybe you could look for something in Hiroshima? At least inquiring with those full-time schools will give you some clues about other casual classes/private tutors availability.
