Travel Options ( Kyoto or Hokkaido) 2009/6/11 19:57
Hi,

Its me again. As my traveling date is getting nearer and nearer but now I still do not have any fixed plan for my Japan holiday. Initially, I wanted to travel from Tokyo,Hakone,Osaka,Kyoto. However, due to H1N1, my husband is unable to visit Osaka due to the natural of his job.

Therefore, now I am stuck with no ideas.

My option are

1) Tokyo, Hakone,Kyoto (any other places to recommend)
My worries is that 10 days will be too much for only this 3 locations. This is my 2nd time to Tokyo therefore I will be only going to DisneySea, Asasuka temple.
2) Tokyo, Hokkaido then back to Tokyo for flight back.( Will it be too tight?)

My travel period is 27 June - 7 July.

Can anyone help me?

If I am to go to option 1, appreciate if somemore can help me expand the travel plans

Thanks

10 days in Kyoto would not be enough to experience all it has to offer: and with a JR Pass you can travel to a number of other destinations. Kanazawa is beautiful and full of things to see. Hiroshima, Miyajima, ..the possibilities are endless

Hi,

Is it recommended to use Kyoto as a base and travel to and fro?

Thanks

Kyoto is a great place to use as a base, as is Osaka: with a JR Pass the Shinkansens and Limited Express trains make travel so easy
