Take the train from Asahikawa to Iwamizawa and then a Chuo Bus to "Iwamizawa Koen" bus stop (approx. one bus per hour except for a break in the early afternoon). Alternatively, you can take the taxi from the station to the park (10-15 minutes, probably around 2000 yen one way).

If you are in Iwamizawa, consider also going to the Ayame Park. There is a Saika Matsuri flower festival in July.
