Is there any direct transport from Toya to Otaru without passing through Sapporo?

There are a few unusual detours which I could think of, but why would you want to do a detour?
For example, you could take local trains from Oshamanbe to Otaru instead of traveling via Sapporo. It takes about one hour longer.
