what’s the cheapest way?

I'm going to climb mt fuji in jul. Here's my itinerary..
Day1
shinjuku-kawaguchiko 5th statn-summit
Day2
summit- descend on shizuoka trails.. how to go hakone from there?
Day3
hakone-shinjuku

so hakone pass or fuji hakone pass is better? does hakone pass covered my itinerary n is there a boat ride or ropeway in hakone?

From Subashiri or Gotemba 5th Station, take the bus to Gotemba Station and then an Odakyu bus into Hakone.

From Fujinomiya 5th Station, take a bus to Mishima Station and then a Tokai bus into Hakone. It is more distant than the other two the Stations.

The buses to/from the 5th Stations are not covered by either pass. But if you travel a lot in the Hakone area, a Hakone Free Pass (for use in the free area only, i.e. without round trip) is likely to pay off.
