Branded hiking staff on Fuji?

Over 20 years ago as a kid I climbed Fuji. At that time you could buy a hiking staff which you could have branded with a special mark at little huts along the way to the top to record your ascent. I'm wondering if this is still possible. Anyone know? *fingers crossed* :)

Also, from what I gather on the internet, it's popular to start at a 5th station. If the branding thing still exists, does it start at the 5th station or at the first? If it's at the first, that is where I'll start. Thanks!!!

Yes, they still burn marks into hiking sticks of climbers.
