Kansai airport to Kyoto with JR pass?

Hi, I read that you can get from Kansai Airport to Kyoto with a JR West pass (Haruka Limited Express).
I will have a JR pass and I understand JR West is part of JR. Does it mean I can use my JR pass from Kansai Airport to Kyoto?

JR West is a part of the JR Railways Group, so the JR Rail Pass will work while in the Kansai area on almost all JR trains, just not the Nozomi Shinkansen. Haruka(Kansai Airport Express)train travel in between Kyoto and Kansai Airport is okay to use with a JR Rail Pass or a JR West Rail Pass.

Note that on the direct Haruka limited express trains, the JR West Kansai Pass is valid only on unreserved seats, while the Japan Rail Pass is valid on both, unreserved and reserved seats.
