KIX and ITM airports

My wife and I are arriving in Osaka but unfortunately we arrive at different airports, I go to KIX and she goes to Itami. We arrive rather late at night, she arrives at 20:00 and I arrive at 20:55. Obviously we have a problem in getting together at a convenient hotel.

Can you suggest a hotel or area of the city with many hotels where we could conveniently meet, presumably taking the trains from the two airports? We are only spending one night in Osaka so we don't need anything fancy, just a basic hotel in location that has easy access to the train station from both airports.

Also how late do the trains run on a Friday night? Thanks

Both, the Umeda area (around Osaka/Umeda Station) and the Namba area (the OCAT bus terminal is directly served from both airports) easily accessible from both airports.

It's probable your wife will reach your hotel earlier than you. So just tell the hotel staff you will be arriving later and that's not a problem at all.

I recommend Shin-Osaka station area if you plan to catch a shinkansen to east or west next morning.

ITM airport is not well served by train(only monorail to the east suburbs of Osaka). So she should take a bus.

Osaka station is connected from KIX by direct Airport Rapid). Shin-Osaka station is also by Airport Express.
