Boarding the Moonlight Nagara train

Hi!
I'm planning to travel to Kyoto from Tokyo using the Seishun 18 Kippu ticket, and I want to board the Moonlight Nagara night-train to save some extra cost on accommodation.
I've read that I should reserve seats on this train way in advance but how do I do that without having to call overseas. Is there a website where I can reserve seats online?
I'm leaving for Toyko next week and any help will be very appreciated.
Also, do you know of the schedule for the moonlight nagara trains going to Kyoto from Toyko?
Thanks!

I've read that I should reserve seats on this train way in advance but how do I do that without having to call overseas. It is not possible from overseas, not even by phoning from overseas. I am only aware of the following service that could be of help: http://www.jet-lag.org/Also, do you know of the schedule for the moonlight nagara trains going to Kyoto from Toyko? The Moonlight Nagara does not go to Kyoto! It only goes as far as Ogaki, northwest of Nagoya. Departure from Tokyo Station is at 23:10.

The Moonlight Nagara does not go to Kyoto! It only goes as far as Ogaki, northwest of Nagoya. Departure from Tokyo Station is at 23:10. Oh no! I assumed it did because the Timetable Examples for the Moonlight Nargara has a Kyoto stop. Does it mean that I just have to transfer trains when I reach Ogaki? http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2362_01.htmlHowever, if that is the case, is there a better/cheaper way to get to Kyoto from Tokyo? Have any of you traveled there boarding the Tokaido/Sanyo Line? And thanks Uji for the tip.
