We plan to be in Japan for 14 days trip. And we hope to find backpack hostels/cheap accommodation at below listed places : Lake Akan, Asahikawa,Furano,Noboribetsu.Shirakawago,Takayama and Shinano Omachi.Anybody can advice we where to get their contact? pls advice if you ever come across any nice and cheap accommodation at above listed places,Thanks.

Have you tried looking for Internation Youth Hostel guide? Not sure if still around, but when I was backpacking (a long time ago I might add) it had everything listed. In those days it was paper but I assume it's all online now.
