It is a fast paced, efficient and interesting itinerary. If you like to travel at a fast pace, it should be enjoyable. (Only time at Lake Akan is ample.) Can I get cheap accommodation in Asahikawa, Toyoma, Shinano Omachi?Yes, Asahikawa and Toyama have lots of cheap business hotels around the stations. As for Shinano-Omachi, I recommend to continue to Matsumoto and overnight there. The city also has lots of inexpensive business hotels. Some of the are listed here: http://travel.rakuten.co.jp/en/Aonother question is: Does all stations(bus and train) have locker for passenger to park their luggage for few hours? What is the cost?Yes, see details here: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2274.html

Dear Uji, Is there any special travelling pass for my above itinerary for day7-day14 ?
I don't think this is benefited with JR rail pass, am I right? How about JR Shuyu Kippu ? How does it work and how to apply? Pls advice, thanks.

Indeed, regular tickets will be cheaper than a rail pass. As for the Shuyu Kippu, I don't think that it is ever a better value than the Japan Rail Pass.
