I will be in Tokyo for 10 days. I want to take 2 days to Hakone. 1 day to Kamakura. Does the JR Rail Pass cover transportations to these two areas?

yes to Kamakura but a ticket from/ to Tokyo is so cheap a pass isn't wort hit. A JR pass is only worthwhile for long distance travel.
Have you checked "transportation by trains" under A-Z at the very top of this forum??

Does the JR Rail Pass cover transportations to these two areas?A JR pass cover's transportation to Kamakura but only partially to Hakone. If these are your only longer distance trips then a JR pass will not save you money, and you would be better off paying for train tickets as you go.
