Mt. Fuji - Shop Hours

Hi Everyone,
I am planning to climb Mt. Fuji during August.
I was wondering what time the tourist shops at the starting point (i.e. Kawaguchiko 5th Station) were open until? I would like to climb at night but would also like to buy the walking stick or postcards when I arrive.

Hi. If there is a souvenir to be had in Japan it is unlikely that you will find difficulty in getting it! Most people climb Fuji overnight, so I would be VERY surprised if you could not find anywhere to buy the stuff you need on the way up. I have not done the climb myself to be fair, but do know how much the Japanese love their souvenir buying - you are unlikely to be disappointed. Enjoy the climb, but DON'T underestimate it!
