train from Daiba to Shinjuku 2009/8/4 07:37
i am staying on the island of daiba in tokyo, and want to take a train to shinjuku. can you please tell me which line would get me there, roughly how much would a return ticket cost, and will it be better to get an unlimited day pass? Thanks

Smith,

You can search for the various routes and fare using the HyperDia site...

If you don't mind a bit of a walk, I would probably walk to Tokyo Teleport station and get the Rinkai Line directly to Shinjuku from there.

Note that there is no such thing as a return ticket for short-distance journeys in Japan.

You can either take a direct train to JR lines or change trains at Osaki Sta.
Kokusai-tenjijo Sta. #
| Rinkai Line
Tokyo Teleport Sta.
| Rinkai Line
Osaki Sta.
| JR Yamanote Line's outer loop (for Shinjuku, Ikebukuro)
Shinjuku
One-way fare: 480 yen = Rinkai Line 320 yen + JR 160 yen.
Required time: About 30 to 40 minutes.
# Kokusai-tenjijo-Seimon Sta. is another station, which is on Yurikamome.
