Any ‘'cooking’' programs in Japan?

Well I am really leaning on getting a degree in culinary arts at the college closest to me(culinary arts is learning how to become a cook/chef).

But I was wondering if there are any good programs where I can study Japanese/Asian cooking courses in Japan or something similar? A lot of the people of people I talk to from Japan are really into cooking/culinary arts so I was sure there would be these kinds of programs.

If anyone has any answers or advice please tell me.

Of course there are courses in culinary arts here, Japan turns out some pretty top-notch chefs, but most if not all of the courses would be conducted in Japanese- how are your Japanese listening and reading skills?

I see, I guess I will have to take up some Japanese language courses at some point then.
