National Theater dress code?

We are going to see a matinee performance at the National Theater this November (and yes, I know it will be long and Kabukiza offers shorter performance options).
I was wondering what the appropriate attire would be? It is 4:30 in the afternoon, and we will be walking around most of the day, but we don't want look like slobs. I just want to know how dressy we need to be / what kind of change of clothes me may want to take. Thanks!
