Almost all Japanese homes and restaurants use a rice cooker. The basic cooker is so cheap, makes perfect rice and lasts forever. Do you for some reason not wanting to use it?

It's unnecessary to be picky.
1) Place in rice cooker
2) wash (sometimes not even necessary)
3) insert water: 1.25 cup water : 1 cup rice
4) press button
