Hello people, Need some information about my situation, I am planning to resign from the company i am currently working, I have been living in Japan for past 5 years, Have been paying income tax, social insurance and health insurance (been deducted from my salary) my current work visa (type= Engineer) is valid until 2012, I have re entry permit until 2012 as well.
(1) As I understand even if i resign from my current position, I can stay in Japan until my visa expires in 2012 (2) I would have no health insurance as it is given by company now, Is there any cheaper alternative to it which i can take by myself. (3) I have sufficient saving to support myself even if it takes a few months to find another job, Are foreigners also eligible for any unemployment benefit until the find i find a job? (4) Can i work on same visa when i find another job or the new company has to sponsor me afresh (5) Any other tips/suggestion in this situation.
P.S- I am working in IT field.
