Japan - Getting my newly wed wife visa 2010/5/1 15:00
Just wanted to clarify if this is possible.

I am a British citizen coming to Japan to teach English for 1 year.

My wife of course wants to come with.

I've read its possible to get her a spouse visa also for 1 year?. I just wanted to check that us being newly wed (under 1 year) won't be a problem. ???

She is an Indian citizen (if that makes any difference?)

If this is possible my other questions are:
Will she be able to work on this visa?
Will she be able to study on this visa?

Thanks very much for any answers.

It is called a "dependent visa" rather than a "spouse visa":

Will she be able to work on this visa?

Only if she successfully applies for permission, she can work part time.

Will she be able to study on this visa?

Yes.
