I have gone through process few years ago. And it was quiet simple once to get all your documents ready. Do not go to lawyer, it is waste of money and engery. Visit directly to MOJ and they will guide you. it is better to have PR before apply for Citizenship. There will be number of documents will be requried from your home country. And it comsume lot of time.
