Hi
I will be staying near Umeda, can I know what are the breakfast options as the hotel do not provide meals. We could be heading out as early as 8am so would appreciate if you can suggest shops that open that early.
Thank you.

Breakfast is easy. Many palces serve breakfast.
My personal option is to head over to one of the coffee shops and have whatever looks good with a cup of coffee.
If I want to be on the road early, I might stop at a panya (Bread shop) and buy a few items and a cup of coffee. If they do not serve coffee, just take your pan, walk to the coffee shop and have your coffee to go.

Thank you tenshinyc, is there a lot of coffee shops around the area(Umeda)? When I stayed in Shinjuku near Keio Plaza last time, we have a hard time finding breakfast and had to eat Macdonald couple of times.

It depends where in Umeda.. For example if you are near the square with 3 rail stations ( JR, Hankyu, Hanshin) there are quite a few breakfast places. some of them are at street level, others underground, others in upper floors...after you settle in you hotel have a look at the neighbourhood... You can also ask the hotel staff....
