Marry in Japan 2010/6/24 23:23
Hi. My nationality is Hong Kong and I m holding a HKSAR passport. I am now in Japan and planning to marry my Japanese boyfriend.

I am currently on a visitor 90 days visa. What kind of documents do I need to prepare before head? I knew that I need to apply a few things from the China Embassy but couldn't find any details. How long does it take to extend my visa after we officially marry?

What I submited to the city offices.

-Regident register(issued from foreign official) and translation if the original is written in Chinese
-Certificate of eligibility(to certify you are single, from foreign official) and translation if the original is written in Chinese
-Marrige application(you can get this document at the city office)

Document needed depends on your nationality(HK in your case), so the best way is to ask HK embassy.
