Cottage cheese 2010/6/29 02:44
Is this sold in Japan? If so, where can I find it -- at regular supermarkets or elsewhere? Thanks!

MomotaroPeachBoy,

Yes, most supermarkets sell it.

pronunciation may help 2010/6/29 12:36
every grocery store should be stocking it, but if you have no luck finding it, ask a clerk.

Make sure you say "koteeji chiizu" since English speakers saying "cottage cheese" may sound like "kachiju chizu" which probably will confuse them.

Cottage cheese ingredient 2010/6/30 00:44
Thanks! I found it. One of the ingredients is sorubin (kanji) K -- does anyone know what that is? (I hope I got the Japanese correct.)

MomotaroPeachBoy,

If that's ャ泣rン酸K, then it is potassium sorbate, a preservative.
