cost of an apartment in Kyoto

i need to know the basic cost of a one bedroom apt. in Kyoto. i dont mind yen or dollars it would be nice if the apt. included a tatami floor and a small kitchen.

Most of apartment for a single has not tatami room now, even in Kyoto.

Which ward do you want to live in?
According to web information, for example, in Kamigyo ward, rent of small rooms, which have one room and kitchen, seems 20,000yen to 40,000yen.

By the way, those rooms have not tatami room.

From my experience if you don't speak Japanese that will be a bit more expansive. Many Japanese flat owner don't want to rent a flat to foreigners (because of communication difficulties).
I would say from 40.000yens to 60.000yens a month for an appartment 10-20 minutes away on foot from the Sanjo/Shijo center. Plus the key money, between 0 and 3 months rent.
Indeed apppartments with tatami are uncommon.
