Food at Mt Rokko and Arima Onsen 2010/7/9 11:28
Hi

Can someone suggest recommendable food at these 2 places? We will be staying overnight at Arima Onsen but won't be having Kaiseki dinner, so will out getting our meals.

Thank you!

Botan Nabe? 2010/7/9 19:59
As you know, both of Mt. Rokko and Arima onsen are in the city of Kobe, Hyogo prefecture. I guess you already know about Kobe beef. Most of hotels or restaurants have menus of Kobe beef. Probably many persons may recommend it.
However, it may be too common.

The northern backyard area of Kobe is famous of wild boar. Of course, hunting is prohibited in most of the areas of the city of Kobe. So, hunters hunt boar in Tanba area, northern neighbor area of Kobe. Some hotels of Arima onsen serve Botan Nabe, wild boar stew.

Sorry. on summer? 2010/7/9 21:21
Sorry. Botan Nabe is a winter cuisine. If you visit Arima in summer time hotels don't serve it probably.

Hi JG

Thank you, do you have restaurants to recommend for Kobe Beef and the Boar meat, in both places? Preferably not too expensive.
