My boyfriend will becoming out to visit me in Japan and we will go up to Tokyo for our mutual vacation time. We want to go to a romantic restaurant but I am having trouble finding one because the choices are so overwhelming. He will be coming out in March so I have plenty of time to make reservations. I have included as much information as I can think of.
Japanese, American, or French cuisine would be our first choice but the most important aspect is the romantic feel. So if the cuisine is different it would be fine.
We want to go to a place that requires formal dress. And the price range would be 100-150 per person.
Location, anywhere in tokyo would be okay. But we will be staying in Meguro. An English menu would be great, I speak some japanese but it would be nice not to have to worry about that. Thank You!

Maybe something like this? The cuisine is Hawaiian fusion http://www.alacard.co.jp/premium/200609/roys.htmlThis one is in Roppongi Hills, and the location seems to be prime. I know there was another location in Aoyama and I used to enjoy dining there, but I cannot find that location anymore - maybe it moved to Roppongi.

Hi, I seeking for the same thing as you :) I've been one year ago in a nice japanese restaurant called Gompachi, in Tokyo (there are severals ones). the website is : http://www.gonpachi.jp/en/nishi_azabu/home/locationseveral food range, and I don't think that a formal dress is needed nor a problem. The scenary is unique. It's the one that have been inspirated by Tarantino in the movie Kill Bill (see "gompachi" in youtube). I really liked that place. Good luck,
