My husband called the immigration today. They said that they are currently screening the Dec applications and we will receive it within this month or max by May.

Really hoping that I will get it soon.

I have applied Working visa in Osaka immigration it been 3 month+ i haven't get the COE.
I have talk to the lawyer, he said there is no problem in the documentation wait for the result.

My husband applied my dependent visa on 17th of January. It's already 3 months completed but still there's no idea when my COE comes. Immigration had said before that within 3 months we'll gt the COE but neither my COE came nor any other letters. When he called in immigration they said that they are screening it.
I hope my COE comes soon 🤞

I think we're the exceptions, not the norm.

Congratulation for obtaining your COE!

Is the company sponsoring you a big company (category 1 or 2, listed in stock exchange, etc.) by any chance? Working visa (even with a joint dependent application) are issued crazy fast with those companies so I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.
If not, well, double congrats because you indeed got lucky for getting it so fast!

I actually don't know if my company is a Category 1 or 2 company, but it is a well-known company for sure. That might be why, I didn't realise that it makes a difference to immigration.

Wishing everyone luck with their COE application too! Hopefully they catch up with their backlog, it is so stressful to wait indefinitely for the COE.

Also, I did not submit any tax certificate because I came to Japan at the end of January 2024. After consulting the immigration bureau they said to submit a bank statement and a document indicating the monthly income (I got this from my company. Just a table with months and the expected income).

COE: Engineer/ Specialist in Humanities/ International Services
VISA: Complex Entry Visa (VIP & Senior Executives)

Any clue on what the above means and how much longer would i have to wait
