Thanks Uji..for the bus info. Is there any bus service from Lake Towada to Hirosaki. Plan to visit Hirosaki castle to see cherry blossom.

There was also another hotel recommended to me, which is very very near JR station - Folkloro Hotel (via Rakuten Travel). But I wanted to stay near the samurai residence so I chose Kakunodate Plaza Hotel.

Now I need to look for 2 nights stay in a simple ryokan in Aomori.Anyone can share your experience and suggestion.I like to be near the JR Aomori for convenience.

Just back from another Tohoku trip. In Aomori city, we stayed in a budget business hotel, Hotel New Aomorikan which is just across the street from the JR station. Very conveniently located next-door to Auga shopping mall with an interesting seafood market/restaurants in the basement. Look up Ekimae Hotel Aomorikan here:
