COE processing times

@Prakash @ARJ, Can you please tell me which company hired you in Japan and what are your company's response to the delay ?

Because, of it is a category 1 or 2 company then it would not take this much delay.

Tokyo Immigrations are overload with applications due to that business it'll take longer than usual.

My husband applied for my SPOUSE COE.
Applied: January 26,2023
Lacking documents sent by mail and arrived there: January 30,2023
Received mailed for additional documents :March 8,2023
Sent an additional documents: March 13,2023
Received call for another additional: April 20,2023
Sent an additional documents: April 20,2023
Bureau : Chiba immigration

Received COE: MAY 20,2023
FINALLY!THANKS GOD!
I HOPE EVERYONE WILL RECEIVE THEIR COE as soon as possible🙏🙏🙏

Is there anybody applied depending visa from the Sendai immigration?

Immigration office has the COE, physical copy that is still to be sent to the company and then to me! :D

Type of visa: engineer/5y
Date of application: last week of March (company applied for me) -> let's just say 31/03/23
Update from company: 06/04/23 -> company says immigration office is suffering delays
Expected start of contract: 01/06/23
COE ready at immigration office: 25/05/2023

Was it Tokyo Startup Visa or normal Business Manager Visa?
I am waiting for my 6 month Startup Visa from 112 days. My lawyer talked to the immigration officer as well but he was unable to tell how long the delays in the Tokyo Immigration Office will continue.

@twenty***mine is just a normal business manager visa but dont you think that its too long already to get a coe which is to be issued by three months from the date of applictaion.

All immi lawyer are saying lying to everyone immi officer should answer coe 3 months but they all are saying bzy bzy

I just wanted to share with you my experience. I have been checking this thread for so long and it is time for me to contribute.

Submission: February 27th, 2023
Visa type: Professor
Bureau: Tokyo
Issued: May 28th, 2023

I am from latin america.
They never asked for additional documents.
I asked many times for updates but all they said is to keep waiting and that it was being processed.

I hope this helps, and please remember that just because someone got their COE issued in less than three weeks (and you have been waiting for months) does not mean that your COE will not be issued. Stay strong!
