Checking this thread has helped me through the grueling waiting period so I wanted to contribute a data point.
Applied type: Engineer/Humanities/International Services
Submission date: 29/3/2023
Bureau: Tokyo
Status: Accepted 13/6/2023
No additional documents were required. Upon inquiry, the immigration office would simply say that the application is under review.
Hope everyone will receive their COE soon! It's tough to wait but it will be worth it. :)

Submission date: 05/09/2023 (My company said they applied the COE for me on this date)
Bureau: Takamatsu
Status: Issued on 06/15/2023 (The company told me they will send the COE today or tomorrow to Jakarta)

Visa type: engineer/humanities applied date 2023/04/17 online application still waiting.Is there somebody who apply from Hokkaido immigration and how long it takes time to issue coe?Sapporo Immigration Bureau has few judges, so it takes time lawyer told me.

Just a non-update from me.
Applied COE type: HSP (engineer) + Dependent (my wife), submitted in tandem
Submission date: 27th of April 2023
Bureau: Tokyo
Status: Waiting
Via a lawyer, Category 2 company.
Lawyer was very apologetic about how long it's taking, but it's not their fault really. It's not anyone's fault, these things just take time. Not easy to be the waiting side though, it never is! Every day gets tougher and tougher.
Hoping to hear something back soon, we feel like we're stuck in time because there are things we need to sell, flights and apartment to book, etc which we don't want to do until the CoE is issued.
Hang in there everyone! Hopefully everyone hears some good news soon.

Just as I posted that yesterday, I got an E-mail from my lawyer today! I should've posted earlier haha.

OMG congrats, I can image how you feeling now, I mean after all the long waiting time, finally!
mine was submitted on 4/19 by a lawyer and my company is also under category 2, I don't know why I'm still waiting...
