COE processing times

COE Type: I don�ft know, ILS immigration agency filed in my behalf. But I�fll be working as an auditor.

I�fm not sure if citizenship is relevant but I�fm from the Philippines. I was told as well by the lawyer that it takes around 6-8 weeks so it must arrive anytime now.

Hoping we�fll all hear from them soon!

@Colin I haven�ft started the process yet but I was advised to start looking for an apartment through a real estate agent while still in my home country.

I haven�ft received mine too and I submitted in Tokyo last April 26. Per my immigration lawyer, it still isn�ft available as of June 26.

I am still on the waiting game. Exactly 3 months now. 😓
I pray for everyone be surprised soon with the good news!

I had to wait a whole 5 months for mine, and it was a simple case with no outstanding documents needed. They were just busy. Over 3 months is completely normal. Don't worry yourselves if it goes over the guidance time of 3 months. It doesn't mean it's rejected.
I know how it feels though!!

Finally an update from last week....

Visa type: Dependent
Applied: Jan 17 2023
Received: June 22 2023 (it was approved/sent on the 21st, one day before)
Office: Sendai Immigration via Morioka branch

It took so crazy long because they were busy, then when they did end up contacting us, they wanted additional documents we had to apply and wait for... additional marriage certificates that needed to be translated and approved multiple times since we're both of different nationalities, even though he's a PR of my country. Thankfully we got it though, so the only advice I have is to prepare extra documents just in case lmao, but our's was probably a very special case anyway!
