Naturalization in 2022

A question for anyone who was Canadian and then naturalized.

Was it after you gained Japanese citizenship that you were then expected to renounce your Canadian citizenship?

Or did you have to apply to renounce your Canadian citizenship beforehand.

Waiting for almost 2 years and no call or anything, anyone got call or results?
I noticed in Kanpo there is no approval notice at all since after the holidays. I wonder what they are doing for taking so long?

After interview they visit your home or call your working place and after interview how many months you already where did you apply ?

Its more than a year after interview already

Home visit : same day of interview
Call to company : with in a week from interview
Expected result : Don�ft know ( little stressed)

Hello guys I applied 2023/01/10 I had interview on May now no calls no message, just waiting results. But while processing my application , i had new baby built new home opened my own company had another baby had to show them home ownership certificate, had to give them company tohon and related documents, had to give them company keisan sho which took me 8 months to get issued, had to pay company tax which was almost 920,00 for only 7 months. Pension clear all taxation since came to japan is clear, now the question is how long will take to have the results done? Lol

Maybe soon you because your case mostly 1 year complete where did you apply which city ?

I think in your case, since the job and everything is changed, they will check all the documents again and might take some more time but nothing to worry.
Its only a matter of time
