Sorry to say, it was the rejection letter. but i am not surprised becasue i had 4 business trip during a year and total 340 days i was out of japan. the homkyoku also suggested that, you have high risk but that time i prepared my all documents. they accepted my documents for applicatoion. so i taken the challenge but unfortunately it is happing the current situation. i have to wait may be 3 years for apply again.
anyone knows the calculation criteria ? i was stable in japan from 2022. though i have been living in japan almost 12 years.

Sorry to hear about your rejection.
It seems 340 days is really long time you have been out of Japan. Normally it�fs 90 days per calendar year which can be considered as border line.

Don�ft know if the counter resets every year.

Domicile (Article 5, Paragraph 1 of the Japanese Nationality Act)
�@The person must have been domiciled in Japan for five years or more consecutively and must have had a valid status of residence throughout the prescribed period of time.


Consecutively needs to be in Japan.


You can try again I think.

Mifta which homukyoku you apply ? It�fs Saitama or Tokyo

Even I submitted a business trip certificate but an unfortunate result.
My first visit in January 2023, application accepted in may, and interviewed in August and result in January.

Japanese test how many time you did interview time you give test Japanese is it ok your score

Does anyone know the name of the documents needed to give homukyoku at the end for nationalities that need to relinquish citizenship?

My first post here.
I called the Saitama legal affairs bureau on 31/1/2024 to make my first appointment. I was told that Naturalization applicants are many so the earliest available month is MAY. So I made a reservation in MAY for my first appointment.
Please guys , I need your guidance and advice on how to go through this process safely.

I submitted my Documents Last MAY 2023,
Been interviewed by the homukyoku(Aichi Pref KARIYA) on SEPT 2023

Got a verification call from the homukyou Feb 6,2024, if I live at the same address,Did I change my job place,Am I planning to go abroad, and about my visa status is it stikl the same ..

I thought I will get the results from the call,But when I asked my tantousha she TOLD ME not yet..


Does someone have the same experience?
