Atfirst! u have to know that the manga u r drawing is it suitable for lowteen or highteen girls? Ribon(for lowteen girls) Marguerite(for middle and highteen girls) next u have to send ur work in japanese cuz they won't bother to translate it for u..lastly here's the address: Shuueisha,2-5-10 Hitohashi,Chiyoda-ku,
Tokyo 101-8050

and in the first line u have to write down Ribon or Marguerite..depending on ur manga

submit to TOKYOPOP!! 2006/7/25 17:15
i just read juno's entry and wanted to clarify that it's totally not the case that TOKYOPOP will hire just anyone. the process is very challenging to get accepted but they are very dedicated to building what they call Global Manga. it's not just about "perfect art"; it is also about storytelling and style and potential. many artists from Japan evolve over their careers so judging any artist by their debut works means focusing on their potential. anyways, if you are good, and serious, TOKYOPOP is the place!

Just a Thought 2006/8/3 13:21
I don't know if it's been mentioned (I'm too lazy to read through all of the replies) but having an foreigner in a Japanese stuido isn't completely unheard of. One of the most respected animation studios in Japan, Studio Ghibli, employs at least one American that I know of, probably more. These instances are rare, but to say that "simply because you are foreign, you can't do it" is wrong.

Here's a place where everyone share their works and is more like a school they'll point out ur mistakes harshly no mercy at all so be prepared.
