Below is a map of JR train lines, which can be used with the Aozora Free Pass:
- Unlimited use of local JR trains (incl. kaisoku trains) in the Greater Nagoya area (see map above).
- The pass does not cover shinkansen and limited express trains. If you take a limited express, nevertheless, you have to pay the limited express fee additionally. If you take a shinkansen, you will have to pay the full ticket price.
- The pass is valid on one calendar day. It can be used on Saturdays, Sundays or national holidays.

Depending on your itinerary and number of travelers, the Seishun 18 Kippu can be a better alternative to the Aozora Free Pass. Unlike the Aozora Free Pass, the Seishun 18 Kippu can be used on any day of the week, but is only available during school vacations.
