Validity

1. Unlimited use of the following train lines (the pass is not valid on the shinkansen):
   • JR Tokaido Line between Toyohashi and Atami
   • JR Gotemba Line between Numazu and Matsuda
   • JR Minobu Line between Fuji and Shimobe Onsen
   • Izuhakone Railway between Mishima and Shuzenji
2. Unlimited use of the following bus lines:
   • Fujikyu buses between Fuji Station, Kawaguchiko Station and Fujisan Station
   • Fujikyu buses between the Gotemba Premium Outlets and Kawaguchiko Station
   • Fujikyu buses between Gotemba Station and Grinpa
   • Izuhakone buses between Izu-Nagaoka Station and the Izu Mito Sea Paradise
   • Izuhakone and Tokai buses between Numazu Station and Numazu Port
   • Izuhakone and Tokai buses between Shuzenji Station and Shuzenji Onsen
   • Tokai buses between Mishima Station and the Yamanaka Castle Ruins

   • Entetsu buses between Hamamatsu Station and Hamanako Garden Park

3. Unlimited use of the following ferries and boats:
   • Ferry between Shimizu and Toi on the Izu Peninsula
   • Shimizu Port Bay Cruise
4. The pass is valid on three consecutive days. The validity of the pass is based on calendar days (midnight to midnight) as opposed to 24-hour periods.
5. Only foreign visitors to Japan (on temporary visitor status) can use the pass. It cannot be used by residents of Japan.
6. The pass can only be used by a single person. It cannot be transferred between multiple persons. The pass holder has to carry his/her passport at all times.

The Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Area Tourist Pass Mini can be purchased online, at selected travel agents outside of Japan and at major railway stations in the area covered, including Tokyo, Shinagawa, Shin-Yokohama, Atami, Mishima, Gotemba, Shin-Fuji, Shizuoka, Kakegawa, Hamamatsu, Toyohashi, Nagoya, Kyoto and Shin-Osaka stations, as well as Nagoya's Central Japan Airport.

If purchasing the pass outside of Japan or via the internet, the actual pass has to be picked up at a major station in the area covered before use.

Assessment

The Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Area Tourist Pass Mini is slightly awkward to use because it does not provide access to/from any airport or major city. Instead its coverage area ends just outside Tokyo and Nagoya. Nevertheless, the pass can pay off for those visiting Mount Fuji together with other sites in Shizuoka Prefecture, such as the Izu Peninsula or Shizuoka City.
